All souls day visit to the Archdiocesan Cemetery

The visit began with a prayerful procession through the cemetery. Seminarians, formators, and members of the local community lit candles and offered prayers for the dead, creating a serene atmosphere of remembrance and hope. Special attention was given to the graves of the seminary alumni, who had once walked the same paths as the seminarians and dedicated their lives to God’s service. Seminarians were encourged to honor their memory by emulating their dedication and service.

The seminary community observed All Souls’ Day with a solemn visit to the Archdiocesan Cemetery, a sacred place where many faithful departed, including alumni of the seminary, have been laid to rest. This annual tradition is a deeply spiritual exercise, emphasizing the bond between the living and the dead in the communion of saints.

At the graves of alumni, a special prayer was offered in gratitude for their lives and vocations, asking God to grant them eternal rest.

However, this visit was a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the eternal destiny to which all are called. For the seminarians, it served as a moment of reflection on their future roles as spiritual leaders and intercessors for the souls entrusted to their care.

As the visit concluded, the community departed with hearts full of faith, hope, and gratitude. All Souls’ Day remains a cherished opportunity for the seminary to honor the dead, strengthen its spiritual connection with alumni, and renew its commitment to the Christian mission of prayer and remembrance.
